The faculties, schools and institutes of the Catholic University of Paris welcome several hundred students within exchange programmes with partner universities around the globe.

Housing

The university does not have an on-campus residence but the Accommodation Office provides a wide range of off-campus accommodation solutions in Paris, such as student residencies, apartment rentals, rooms in family homes, etc. This office assists students in their search for appropriate long-term accommodation and is happy to answer any queries that students may have prior to their arrival.

Learn French

We remind all partner universities that they are required to test their own students' level of spoken and written French prior to sending their applications, and to acknowledge that it is sufficient for them to study their discipline successfully during their stay at the Catholic University of Paris.

The university’s French language school, the Institut de Langue et Culture Françaises, organises monthly intensive courses in May, June, July, August and January. These courses can lead to a number of 4 ECTS credits.

List of Courses & ECTS

All courses offered and corresponding ECTS credits are presented by degree : 1st, 2nd, 3rd year of Licence (Undergraduate) and 1st, 2nd year of Master (Postgraduate).
Most of the courses are taught in French, but our Faculties also offer some courses in English, opened to Exchange Students.

Welcome and Orientation Sessions

A Welcome and Orientation Session is organised for international students by the IRO at the beginning of each semester. It generally takes place over three days and includes: a presentation of the university and student services; a step-by-step explanation of the enrolment procedure; practical information about life in Paris ; tours of the campus organised by French students volunteers from the Tandem (buddy) programme ; historical tours of the St German de Pres area, and a Seine river cruise to close the session. It is also, of course, the occasion to meet with many other international students.

Residence Permit Office

A Residence Permit Office in direct contact with the French administration offices helps non-EU students with their immigration documents and visa renewal. The Office receives students four days a week throughout the year.

Libraries

Five specialised libraries with online catalogues are open to all exchange students according to their discipline.

Student Cafeteria

Students have access to the on-campus student cafeteria for a quick snack or to a foodtruck inside the campus.
