In the context of a rapidly changing global political landscape, the Catholic University of Paris will be holding a conference on November 27th, entitled “Churchill, de Gaulle and the Special Relationship”.

The discussion will examine in depth, the unique relationship between Churchill and de Gaulle. In addition to discussing current day relations between the USA, the UK, Europe, and the impact of the looming Brexit.

The conference will be led by Professor John Charmley, the Pro Vice-Chancellor at St Mary’s University. Professor Charmley is a historian, and a specialist on Winston Churchill.

This event will be held entirely in English, and is the first of a series of conferences to be held at our campus, with our university partners. The Catholic University of Paris, currently offers a Master in International & European Business law (LLM) in partnership with St. Mary’s University. Students in this programme, have the unique opportunity to study in both Paris and London.

This event will take place in the main auditorium of the Catholic University of Paris campus. It is open to students, professors, and the general public.
