ICP offers a first-rate education that achieves a balance among interdisciplinarity, specialisation and professionalisation
At the undergraduate level, we offer a number of bachelor’s degree programmes (Licence) in the liberal arts tradition, which expose the students to different forms of knowledge and help them develop multiple ways of understanding the world. This includes interdisciplinary law and social sciences programmes which provide the foundations of legal knowledge and the tools for economic, sociological and political analysis; humanities and philosophy programmes which enable students to explore the world through theological, philosophical and anthropological perspectives; communication sciences, modern and ancient languages, and literature programmes, which explore culture, languages and the digitalisation of society; history and art history programmes including the study of geopolitics and languages; and a bachelor in education centred on the multiplicity and the complexity of learning situations.
At the graduate level, ICP offers a number of master’s degree programmes which enable the students to specialise in a particular field in order to pursue a professional career or embark on a PhD. These programmes cover established academic disciplines such as theology, philosophy, ancient oriental philology, history and art history, and literature. We also offer more practice-oriented master’s programmes in the fields of politics (international relations, public affairs, sustainable development policies), law (international business, artificial intelligence and heritage law), management (human resources, quality, small enterprise, risk and cultural management), communication strategy and management, and primary and secondary education.
As a pontifical university approved by the Holy See, ICP also delivers canonical degrees. We offer prestigious Baccalaureate and Licentiate programmes, which cover the entire spectrum of theology and canon law, and which prepare the students for priesthood or in pursuit of a canonical PhD.
All of ICP’s faculties offer high quality doctoral programmes, which are integrated in the university-wide Doctoral College. The College is a coordinating structure designed to create an interdisciplinary and stimulating research environment for doctoral students, develop doctoral mobility and co-supervision partnerships, and reinforce the doctoral students’ employability.
ICP puts the person at the centre of education
At our institution, we welcome students from different backgrounds and countries, who have different learning and personal needs. ICP has set up a variety of programmes which provide individualised support for each student, and which favour the development of the person as a whole.
At the academic level, course coordinators and tutors provide personalised support and follow the progress of each student closely. The university’s career centre brings together students and corporate recruiters, and assists each student with the choice of their career path. ICP also offers accessibility and orientation programmes to assist high school pupils in the transition to higher education.
In addition, we have established an extensive scholarship programme designed to provide higher education opportunities for students with limited financial means, and in particular for local student populations in the Reims and the Rouen regions.
In line with the idea of “whole person education”, student support at ICP is not limited to personalised academic guidance, but it also includes chaplaincy, mental health, counselling and nursing services. ICP also actively supports students’ associations, which contribute to the development of a vibrant campus community and to the flourishing and well-being of the student population.
