Housing

The university does not have an on-campus residence but the University can refer you to student residencies, apartment rentals, rooms in family homes, etc. The International Office is happy to answer any queries that students may have prior to their arrival.

Depending on the type of housing you have and your family situation, you may be able to obtain a housing subsidy : "Aide personnalisée au logement" (APL).

You need to complete your application as soon as you move in the accommodation directly from the "Caisse d’Allocations Familiales" website : www.caf.fr.

If you share a flat with several people, each tenant needs to make a separate application. The amount of aid granted will be calculated depending on income and rent.

The housing subsidy is granted upon the following conditions:

  • Income
  • Compliance with the rental's minimal standards of comfort and surface (at least 9 m2 for one person)
  • A valid "Permis de séjour" (Residence card) for foreign students (except for citizens of European Union and Switzerland)

You don’t have a guarantor living in France? Studapart can replace your guarantor over the whole duration of your stay.

A guarantor is a person bringing financial security and attesting you are creditworthy. It’s difficult to rent a place in France without a French guarantor. In most cases, student residences and landlords require that your guarantor earns income in France.

You can get the Studapart Guarantee directly on the platform and add it to your rental application to find accommodation on the Studapart platform or anywhere else!
