This course aims at providing students with specific skills for academic essay writing in the field of social sciences: paragraph writing, presentation of the topic, linguistic tools (grammatical revision, the complex sentence, linking terms).
Objectives
The objective of the course is to give students the ability to write consistent texts and complex sentences.
- writing exercises (how to construct a paragraph within a consistent text)
- use of link words
- exercises on complex forms using a brochure online.
Assessment and Final Grade
Homework and/or tests about writing texts and grammatical structures.
Course Requirements
Students should be able to write an essay dealing with a particular topic seen from a personal
point of view and using and confronting arguments and to use complex sentences
