Introduction

A course that requires students to read, digest, and orally present information on a targeted subject. Students will elevate their level in English by listening to others attentively and responding with appropriate language and empathy level.

Objectives

mprove the ability to arrange ideas and speak on a subject. Students will develop a vocabulary for their topic of interest.

Admission

Prerequisites training

Students must have the ability to listen and comprehend the spoken words of others.

Program

Methods of Instruction

Students will read and listen to material in English. Students will compose presentations of their own, focusing on topics that will interest the audience and that bring the speaker’s interests into the classroom.
 

Assessment and Final Grade

Students will be graded primarily on their ability to communicate their ideas. Secondarily, they will be graded on the ability to respond to audience members questions in real-time. And they will be graded on their participation as an attentive listener who asks questions of speakers.
 

Course Requirements

Students must have computer and internet access.
