The course consists of 4 sessions divided into two days (a 3h session in the morning and a 2h session in the afternoon). For each session, concepts and practices will be presented and discussed in depth with students’ participation through discussions of reading assignments,
collective intelligence workshops and group discussions.
Assessment and Final Grade
Group written assignment. Each group will work on the conceptualization and design of an INGO. The assignment involves presenting a INGOs background, mission, vision, values, structure, and governance bodies.
The readings downloaded to the course’s pages provide for a theoretical reflection on the different issues discussed in class and may help you ask good questions at the conception/design phase. You may also want to look at some INGO websites and constitutive acts as well as research for specific case studies regarding NGO organizational management.
